Howdy all, I’m Adam Smalley originally from Fayette Co. Alabama. I work for 2 Police Depts here in Walker Co. Alabama and I purchased my very first motorcycle ever from an 86 year older lady who's husband unfortunately passed away about 10 years ago. I answered a burglary call about 2 years ago to this older ladies house where someone broke into the shed. When I walked in I saw this motorcycle sitting there and it looked to be in really good shape. She said that this was her late husbands and she didn’t know what all he had in the shed but knew someone had been in there. After work I rode back down to the lady’s house and asked if she would be interested in selling the bike. She said and I quote “Well Hell, throw me a number.” Jokingly I said $85 Dollars. Next thing I hear her say is “SOLD!” I said wait … what, Seriously ? She said that she’s been telling her Kids, Grandkids, and even Great Grandkids to come clean the shed out and if they didn’t she was going to hire someone to come clean it and carry it to the dump. I told her that I would ABSOLUTELY pay her more for it, but she replied “Now what the Hell did I just tell you son. I said sold for $85 dollars and that’s what it is.” So I handed her $85 Dollars and was the Proud New Owner of a 1974 Yamaha TX750A. There was also a 1981 Honda Express in Perfect Condition that she wanted gone immediately and she said I could have it for $60 Dollars. So I bought it also.
I Really Hope meet some other TX750A enthusiasts like me that I have come to truly Love and Hate this Bike lol. If you’re Local around the surrounding States of Bama feel free to HMU because I’m still rebuilding it little by little and need all the help I can get. Maybe we can call, txt, or meet up sometime. Between Working 2 Police jobs and a wife I try to find the time to finish my Bike. I’m trying to maybe convert it into a cafe so that I can ride in the Distinguished Gentleman’s Club Ride to benefit Men’s Mental Health and Colon Cancer. Unfortunately both of those issues run in my family and both scare me. So I’m all ears and an open book to learn and gain knowledge.
