Upon finding this article from this expert American Japanese engine builder I thought it might be of interest to this forum. Anyone considering purchasing Chinese manufactured pistons rings for sale from a popular ebay seller for their next TX project should read the article:

There are other quality piston rings out there, for a few dollars more. I would recommend you all dig around the net and read as much material put out there by Mike Nixon.
Forget Cruzini///ge

Had another run on the TX today. Not smoking as much as it did. Not sure the motor sounds too good.

I used Cruzinimage pistons and rings. Cheap price rapid delivery, a week from Japan to UK. I would say really good quality.

Rasputin I would not argue that the rings and piston may be of good quality. I think the issue is that the new style rings were probably designed to run in a modern engine which has nickel and carbide(nikasil) coated cylinders. The TX 750 has what I call 'pig iron' older steel cylinders and it has been noted by a renown American Japanese motorcycle builder that the rings supplied by Cruzinimage seem to wear very quickly. This is not my opinion, check the link in my previous post and other articles written by Mike Nixon. A few dollars for rings better suited to the cylinders is a minor expense compared to having to tear down your engine after only a few thousand kilometres. My last rebuild had 170 lbs compression cold, (not Cruzinimage) so there may be some value in using older style piston rings. Of course that's your choice.
cheers
