I brought a Subaru Legacy oil pressure light sensor on ebay for 10.00 shipped. It has the same 1/8-27 NPT thread as the original. Crimped on a spade connector to fit. Havent ran it yet but I am thinking that it should open the circuit about the same pressure as the TX one should, since it is a dummy light system.

Had another run on the TX today. Not smoking as much as it did. Not sure the motor sounds too good.

Generally automotive oil pressure switches become open circuit at around seven PSI. I had one leaking on a Honda 400, I sourced a switch from a Kubota small plant engine, exactly the same switch. The same switch is fitted to the TX. Can't see the Subaru being that different.
