Anyone have directions on testing the charging system i dont think my bike is charging i know it will stay running if i unhook the battery but if i flip lights on or turn signal she dies right away

I'm not an electrical expert by any means, but if you are saying that the engine dies as soon as you turn on the lights it sounds like you have a short of some kind rather than a charging problem.
Electrical gurus will tell you that 90% of these types of issues are related to an earthing problem. Check all your earth wiring points and make sure there is a good clean (metal to metal) contact with no rust or green stuff present.
Also, if you are unhooking the battery and then turning on the lights, it will die because the battery is part of the electrical circuit.
