I just going through some final things before I start up my TX750. It has sat idle for a very long time before I bought it late last fall. I've gone through the electrical, carbs, starter clutch, the usual. I replaced all gaskets where I could and took the clutch apart to clean and inspect. All plates and springs measured good and checked to make sure the push rod and shaft moved freely. I replaced the clutch cable with a new NOS and set up the clutch like the manual says. The clutch pull is well... very hard. Just checking to see what other TX750 are like?? I understand its a 750 but holy jeepers...
Any input would be great.

Did you lube that new cable? Route it the same way with no sharp bends? After that it's down to making sure everything else is cleaned and lubed. Looks like you checked the pushrod so also check and lube the actuator for the pushrod the lower cable end hooks to, and also the clutch lever pivot bolt.
Regards, Don

Hi Don,
Thanks for you reply. After looking over everything again, I noticed that the actuator looks to have been repaired with a braze weld it. I just picked up another '74 TX750 and a couple of motors today and I will use one from them. This TX I got today has the dual disc set up on it too. I will let you know how I make out.
Cheers, George
