So I'm trying to put together my disassembled clutch. As it came that way when I bought the bike I wasn't able to see how it went together. The other problem is that I have lots of other clutch parts with my box of bits so I'm trying to figure what goes where. I have two parts books and a service manual but my parts don't match up entirely. I also understand that the parts book is missing a washer between the crankcase and the basket.
I suspect that my clutch is off an early XS 650 (I know they are very similar) as it only has 5 steel plates and 6 fibre plates.
One thing I can't figure out is how the bearing is supported on the shaft as its internal diameter is much larger than the shaft. Is there a small spacer that fits over the shaft and inside the bearing ? If so, I don't have that part !
To keep the basket from hitting the crankcase I need to use a spacer about 15mm wide rather than the 2mm one stated in the parts books. The confusing thing is that this larger spacer and two 2mm washers (as per the parts list) came with my parts. So as you can see - I need help !
Can anyone show me exactly what parts I need and what the correct assembly order is please. I would really appreciate diagrams or photos if possible.
Thanks - JT

Figured it out thanks. Looks like my bike has been fitted with a earlier TX650 clutch so that's what I'm going with. The other incomplete clutch parts are from the two disassembled engines that came with the bike.
