Does anyone know if the TX650 cam chain fits the TX750 ? I see cam chains advertised on Ebay and elsewhere as fitting both, although it looks like the 650 is 106 links and the 750 is 104 (easy enough to remove 2 links though).
If it doesn't fit, where can you get replacements ?

The part numbers are different, but I don't know if that's just because of a different number of lengths. The master link is the same part number for both chains, so if the 650 is longer as you suspect, removing links would work. Another approach if the 650 is shorter would be to use two chains and two master links for the correct length. Ebay will occasionally have TX750 specific chains come up, as well as the master links. The German TX750 club might have a source as well.

I think you can use the XS-chain if its long enough because the joint for both chains have the same number 94662-19001 => same chain spec.

I just did a little online detective work. It looks like K&L have cam chains and links for the 650 which are 106 links. As mentioned above, the 650 and 750 share the same part number for the master link, so the chain specs "should" be the same, only the length being different. I don't know the length of the 750 chain, but K&L have the same style of chain, BF05M, in 118 and 122 links. If the 750 chain is longer than 106, a person could get one of the longer ones and remove the excess links. The K&L chains are made in Japan and had good reviews on some of the specialty web sites, supposedly exceeding OEM quality. The 650 chain is part 12-0431 and the link is 12-0361.

Thanks guys - I found one listed by Yambits in the UK and as I'm going on holiday there next week I'll get one and save the freight cost.

Good deal. Let us know the actual link number when you get it.

Hi Guys, original part number for TX750 camchain is 94562-19104, the last numbers indicate amount of links in chain 104 = 104 links, hope this helps.
