Hello,
I think I pulled the engine more than half a dozend times out of and into the frame, but if you're alone, its a game of luck and sweat...
How do you manage that? Has anybody selfmade tools? And pictures?
Greetings Peter

I put a car ramp beside the frame, and muscle the motor out onto it. Then work on it there. It's not ideal, but it's not the end of the world either. I think building a short engine stand or even a wooden box that holds the engine firmly, on wheels would be ideal. Super out of focus picture, but you get the jist.

There is a trick to balancing the engine as it goes in. Put on the kick start lever. Once the engine is up on the right frame rail, hold the kick start lever in your left hand. Put the fingers of your right hand in the LEFT exhaust port and lift.....it is balanced and easier to manoeuvre.

The place to hold the kick start lever is at the bottom where it goes on the shaft. Sorry, left that bit out!

Here is Garry's solution, pretty slick I'd say. Attachments:

And pictures? Greetings Peter Installing engine backI just put a robust plastic box beside the bike frame on right side. Two long bolts on stand-by position. Note! Without additional oil extention. A car sax jack underneath for adjusting. And then just lift engine on its place. I put good wrapings around frame tubes to prevent scratches. Finally oil extention on its place. My brother had this in better way. Engine to work bench on its right side. Then he lifted empty frame aroud engine. Frame is much lighter than engine. Jukka

Getting ready to do this again to mine.
Having a heck of a time getting the valves set and it's a shame that the head won't come off with the engine in the frame.
Something is going on with my left intake valve / spring.
