I have been tinkering with the TX750 since 1991, and was actively racing one until 2010. Lots of experimentation, and many successes. Be prepared to have deep pockets!

Yes, this is Nick from down under. Mods for reliability for a road bike are not that many. Adjustable balancers are mandatory, and keep them in good adjustment! I have a modification for wider feed pump in a dry sump engine, not the same as in the racing bike which is wet sump without balancers. I use an Earls 10 row oil cooler that is much better than the original, and is not out of place in black. The most intrusive tricks I use need the engine out and apart. The pressure relief valve has an extra washer under the spring. Valve adjusters are replaced with Porsche elephant foot adjusters. The biggest strategy though is ceramic thermal barrier coating on the piston crowns, valve heads, combustion chambers, ports and cross over exhaust bridge. This keeps the heat OUT of the engine in the first place. There is an 86 page book I wrote about the racer, but hard copy is sold out. May print more if there is demand.
