I have no pictures at the moment as the bike is only being delivered next Tuesday, it's a 1973 none running Japanese import which is a restoration project, only I won't be restoring it, I will be making it into a tracker, it may upset some that I am "butchering" it like I did with my Honda 400F1 cafe racer but I rescued that one from a scrap yard and it is better than what was in store for it, I don't see it as butchering, I see it as saving. My first restoration was my 1979 Yamaha RD250 which I have had since I was 17 years old which is also the bike I passed my test on when I was 17, when I restored it I kept to the rigid rivet counters ideal which is fine but I found it restrictive so I made the Honda into the bike I wanted it to be and I will be doing the same with the TX, the first job is to get it running and convert it into a twin disc before completely stripping it down, being from Japan it is a single disc bike, actually it is a no front brake bike at the moment, the disc is there but the caliper isn't, I have a full system somewhere from a 600 Bandit which I may use but if anyone has any experience or other suggestions I'm open to them. Anyhow I will be doing a full log of the build like I did with the RD and the 400F1 which are linked in my signature.

Thanks Bob, the bike arrived today and I made a bit of a start, unfortunately I am away for a week from tomorrow with work so I will have to wait to play a bit more. www.skylinesoftware.co.uk/tracker001.html

Thanks Bob, I managed to get someone to bend some tubes for me, most places wanted the bike for a week or so and wouldn't entertain doing them from my drawing, I eventually got them done by a company who make exhaust sections and mandrels, I got them 3 days after sending the drawing, they will need a bit of fettling but are pretty close to the template and have the angle to clear the frame tubes, James who did them left me a couple of inches at the cylinder end for wiggle room.

Exhausts complete and getting close to the end. NB:- I've had a PM and a couple of emails about not updating my blog since page 19, I am actually half way down page 20 now, if you have visited before you may need to delete your browsing history and refresh my pages.
