Dear All,
I had an interesting and rather expensive experience with the tire shop last week. I took my freshly respoked rear wheel, a tube and a tire to get assembled. I also told them to replace the nipple protecting band to a new one as it was damaged at a few nipples. The shop guy claims the nipples are off for some reason, and punctured the new tube when they reassembled it, they can fix it with duct tape if I want instead of the nipple band. So I just told them to give the whole thing back so I can take a look. My wife picked it up and they charged $75 for nothing basically. I looked at the wheel, and the nipples are indeed off, but just because the are laced in a sharp angle, but for sure it was just exactly like that when it came out of the factory, as I compared it with another genuine wheel. The nipples and washers are all original and I laced them myself. I`m planning to take the whole thing back to the shop to come up with some solution for this, I`m just curios if any one here has had such a problem with a TX rear wheel.
