Hi All,
I wonder if I should refurbish my shocks or just buy a new pair. Is their any recommended type/brand/other bike`s matching shocke set within a reasonable price range?
Thanks for sharing any thoughts!

You'll need to open the shock damper units for a re-chrome job. The upper edge can be turned down on the lathe and the internals removed. Lots of European TX have aftermarket Hagon shocks on them.

Thanks Argo, probably I`m just gonna by a new set of springs from Girling as the internals look ok.

When taking apart the rear shocks I realized that in fact it`s not the original. It`s an easily servicable Mulholland/Boge set, replaced by the first owner back in the seventies. I`m trying to restore this as it`s still in good condition, probably better than the original. I guess it`s a good fit since it was used for years, but just for curiosity and to make sure, can someone tell me the eye-to-eye length of an original? This one reads 335 mm. Many thanks!
