Hi Guys, Sorry to ask such a stupid question but, I have a '73 that is missing the plug or cover that goes over/in the lowest round hole on the left side case, every illustration I've looked at doesn't show what belongs there. The closest I've found is; Straight Screw plug#90340-32012-00 Is this the part I need to close this hole? hopefully no damage was done to the engine. Sorry I can't post pictures. This hole is not the black rubber one that lives behind the Alt Cover, under that, a little to the right. Thanks for any help.

I think you are talking about the plug that seals off the crankcase opening for one of the balancer shafts. There are two parts - a cylinder / cartridge type part and a rubber plug that fits on the end of the cartridge that provides the oil seal. These parts are listed in the balancer section of the parts manual. Hope that helps - JT
