I'm trying to fit my air filter case. There is a lug on the case that (I think) locates in to the right hand side of the frame between to frame mounts and the case is then secured by way of bolts on the left hand side of the frame.
Is there a rubber grommet or something similar that fits in to the frame mounts which in turn the lug on the air filter case locates in to ? It doesn't seem right that the lug just sits in between to the two frame mounts as it's not really secured at all.
I can't see anything in the parts manual though, so maybe I've got it completely wrong !
Cheers - JT

You are right! The rubber bushing/grommet goes on the pin/peg on the right side of the air box, then, that goes in the hole on the frame. I just put my air box in my '74 yesterday. I had to buy 2 air boxes as I too couldn't find the rubber piece in the parts listing anywhere. So, a 2nd air box was bought just for that part. Kind of strange as there wasn't a listing for it. The closest part I could find to it was a damper on an air box from a R5/RD350 part#278-14426-00-00. I have no ideas if it would fit as it is a discontinued part but, looks very similar to the one on the TX air box.

Thanks Pudzy - I eventually went in to my stash of rubber grommets and found something seemed to work.
