Hi All,
Do you guys have any ideas about where to find good aftermarket mufflers? Is there any company producing these for the TX? Now I could buy two not so bad original mufflers, but still, they are from 73, so probably rusted inside. Hopefully there is some other alternatives.

There is a company in Australia called Overlander Motorcycle Equipment who make replica TX750 mufflers. There are very similar to the originals but are a few inches shorter. There is an article on them somewhere in the old Toby Folwick website from memory. Their website address is www.dropbears.com

He replied: Mufflers cost au$875 a pair + au$80 post. Mufflers are replica other than being 20mm shorter than standard as I cant make cones any longer than this. It`s around 715 USD. Still painful but somewhat better ..

Hi i have the same problem. Im searching two mufflers but the originals seems impossible to find and the Aftermarket are too expensive. Did you know about some similar models that Can suit the TX 750? Like xs or others? How did you solved your problem? I dont think i Will spend 700€ for them. Thanks Cheers

Lossa Engineering makes some neat stainless steel reverse cone mufflers in differernt header diameters, long and short. Pretty reasonable prices. I can measure my bike and let you know the overall length of the exhaust system when I can get out to it after this snowstorm.

Thanks! The only problem with the ones ive found is the curve the tx's mufflers make..They are straight so you can spot the difference. Good luck with that storm!

I measured my standard mufflers and they are 930mm from the joint nut to the end. Hope that helps.
