I have many used spare parts for sale. I'm moving house soon so it would be good to lessen the load !
Parts include; - Balancer weights - Crankcases - Crankcase covers - Centre stand - Battery box - Headlight ears / supports - Header pipes - Chain guard - Lots of other bits and pieces
These are all used and in reasonable to good condition. These will be very reasonably priced (plus freight) to Forum members (bear in mind I am in New Zealand).
Happy to answer any questions.
Cheers - JT

Hi JT, do you have upgraded balance weight and the corresponding shaft?
Thanks!

Hi Scrambler
I know I have a balancer weight and I think I have the shaft. You will also need shims. I have a selection of these which you can have for free. I'll check tonight and let you know.

Scambler - I have both the balancer and the shaft. How does $30 sound ? (Shims included). Let me know if that's ok and I will get a shipping cost.

That sounds about right, I don`t know how much the shipping would be from NZ though.. Do you have any rough idea? Is this all I`d have to upgrade the balancing system to the adjustable version or there`s something else? There is a guy who may get me a `74 complete engine for 200, but I don`t know if we can work out the shipping, that`s far from me, too, but that would be the best as I need other parts as well. In my engine almost everything is shot because of oil starvation. So let me get back to you about the balancer when something turns out about this engine shipment.

No problem - just let me know if you want the parts and I will get a shipping price. I assume you are in the USA ?
If you go to the old Toby Folwick TX750 site (just Google it), on the right hand side of the home page you will see a listing for "Service and Parts Bulletins". In that section under "Adjustable balancer shaft installation instructions" is a complete guide on the parts required and how to install the new balancer system.

Yes, I`m in North California. I already checked this bulletin and it is still not clear to me what parts have to be replaced. On this figure - www.tobyfolwick.com/tx750/textual/pbadj_1.php - there are parts, like the oil seal and the collars, that don`t seem to be familiar at all. My understanding is that in this new version the weight rotates around the shafts with the needle bearings in between and the weight is not bolted to the shaft as it is so in the stock 73 version. So, I`m afraid I would need more parts than the shaft and the weight only for this conversion. I may be wrong, what do you think?

Yes, you are correct about the weight rotating around on needle bearings and not being fixed to the shaft as per the old version. The easiest way to compare is through the parts manual as it shows the old version and the new version. If you don't have the parts manual give me your email address and I will send you one.
