Last night, i replaced my 40 year old metallic grey oil with fresh Harley Davidson heavy duty fork oil, and i overfilled it to 6 ounces each ,not much over,but it seems to make a difference, like the ride alot better,I did the same to my 500 last year... and adjusted the pre load on the rear to one step below max , i likes the stiffness a lot better.. seems to stick to the ground better in the corners...no more wheel hop

It works good for me, but i am 5'9 and about 180 lbs, and I like it a little stiff, now i just need to get tapered head bearings, needle bearings for the swingarm and see what difference that makes
