As mentioned in the Dual Coil thread, I'm working on swapping out my single coil per cylinder system to a dual coil, wasted spark system. To free up real estate under the tank, I wanted to remove the reserve lighting unit. It has two connectors from the harness, an 8 plug and a 4 plug. The connectors from the harness have .250" male terminals. I wanted to have the head light, tail light, and brake light, and wasn't concerned with any alert or automatic switch over functions. For the head light/tail light, connect the white 8 pin to the blue/yellow 8 pin and the white also to the blue 4 pin. For the brake light, connect the yellow/green 8 pin to the yellow 8 pin. All the lights seem to work properly with this configuration. The hard part was determining the original wire color due to age. The crude schematic shows the positions as looking at the harness connector.

Thanks for the leg-work on this.
I haven't had time to do the digging after I removed my reserve lighting unit.
