I bought a gasket set from Cruzinimage. I found carb joint gaskets not fitting very well. Diameter of gasket is too small. This will cause air/fuel mixture turbulence in inlet channel. Has anyone fixed this matter? See left side grinded and right side original size. Difference is remarkable!! I took Dremel and grinded extra gasket material away. Right or wrong? Jukka

I suspect you are correct about the turbulence restriction, but would be concerned about debris in the head using the Dremel with the gasket and holder mounted in place.

Yes, I was aware about stuff flying around during grinding. I had a proper finishing and cleaning after Dremel. Of course it would be wise to do ths before fitting valves. Cleaning would be then easier.
An other way to do this is put a gasket between joint and head. Then you can mark extra area with sharp pencil. Take a gasket away and grind it upto pencil marking line.
However I prefer to finish gasket on it's own place tightened with screws. Doing like this there will be no steps at all in intake channel.
